Prifddinesian Light Creatures

Official Write-up by Outtallectuals:

“Gearing up for the procession of the equinoxes and the coming of Spring, we present "Prifddinesian Light Creatures" by Shapesift; an organic bass track from The Rust's second "Oxidized" compilation. The song sonificates flows of glittery bioluminescent melodies falling down a misty waterfall and the digital rainforest atmosphere is reminiscent of a distant planet from which we may have come or to which we may one day venture. Regardless of chronology, Shapesift's description of such a world is an accurate depiction of its ethereality and it is one to excite you about the prospect..."

Authors description:

Connor Schmitt is an electronic musician seeking to explore new territory on the fringes of experimental electronic and organic music under the alias of Shapesift.

His productions include sound delicately layered with great attention to detail and melody. These ambient constructs are underpinned by tactile percussion and fluid sub bass to form dynamic compositions that are at once organic and digital. Connor’s approach to writing is informed by a lifetime of musicianship. Before engaging with digital music production, he played bass, guitar, keys, and drums while performing and writing with several musical projects. A passion for presenting atypical soundscapes drives forward Shapesift music, which is intended to engage and entertain, but also to heal.

His work is appropriate for games featuring themes such as: science, science fiction, extraterrestrial, alien, aquatic, ocean, underwater, mystery, horror, adventure, ambient, introspective, experimental, emotional, spiritual, world, jungle, etc.
