Authors description:

Hi there - I'm a jazz musician from the UK who makes little tracks/logic loops on the side. I think they'd suit simple platform/retro/2D games quite well, so I just want people to use them and let me know where I can see them being used!

I'm not a copyright expert, but I do own these tracks and do have timestamped uploads/original Logic files to prove that - so please just be kind and let me know if they're used for any kind of money-making as it'd be nice to get paid! But I'm not interested in charging for their download, so please have a browse!

Thanks very much - hope to see something used sometime!

Paradise

This relaxed, ambient, synth-pad soundscape evokes peaceful paradise, with warm major harmony and a reverb-drenched piano motif buried in the middle/at the bottom of the mix. A soft electronic arpeggiator adds blips of starry excitement, which sit above laid-back, indie acoustic drums. A euphoric soundscape.

Alien Rock

Fast, intense and distorted guitar-led madness with heavy sub-bass and rock drums. Lydian jazz harmony and 4ths-based melodic fragments convey extraterrestrial/alien/out-of-this world mystery vibe - suitable for the intro credits of an alien cartoon programme or something.

Kreem

This is a mysterious, electronic synth based soundscape using heavy razor bass, a light, looping melody and an underlying, 2-chord, piano-string pad to outline the aching harmony. A G minor break in the middle provides a heavy, climactic, chromatic departure from the main loop.

Tune in 7

This heavy tune strongly evokes impending doom, with a troubling underlying harmonic movement driving the piece's unrelentingly morbid sentiment. A touch of dystopian tragedy and end-of-times dramatism taints this heavy odd time signature groove. A breathy 4/4 swing solo section flashes at the traditional jazz trio (piano, bass drums) before returning to the brooding catastrophe of the panicked groove.

Trip

This is a sentimental jazz tune for jazz trio (piano, bass, drums) with a plaintive, patient harmonic narrative. The peaceful movements unfold slowly, retaining a quiet, pleading, prayerful sentiment throughout.

There Will Never Be Another You

This is a chirpy, circus-like arrangement of a classic jazz standard, There Will Never Be Another You, played on rhodes, bass and drums.

Mood Swing

This is another jazz trio tune (piano, bass, drums) with a moody feel over a set of jazz-inspired chords. There's a big organ solo over D minor in the middle. A brooding, modal swinger.

Long Walk

This is a harmonically dark, piano led tune which lilts along with a sultry momentum. A simple backbeat is fed a sense by the subversive triangle rhythm.

Jayum

This is a relaxed, guitar led jam over a reverb-drenched synth sus7 chord and a broad open hi-hat beat. A modern ambient hip-hop vibe.

Latin Number

This is a latin jazz tune, written for jazz trio (piano, bass, drums). It contains a rhodes solo over the chords and the drums are played with light brushes throughout. It's a simple, bouncy bossa nova.

Year 10 Dubstep

This is some very rough dubstep I made at school when I was about 15. It's creepy, mysterious, industrial and dystopian.

Etude to Attitude

This is a stroppy piano sequence with jazz-inspired harmony over a defiant, heavy drum beat and rough, syncopated sawtooth synth bass. A darting synth lead line eventually loops over the sequence in a seemingly never-ending fashion. It's a sequence with an attitude, hence the title.

Fusion Crisis

This is a frantic synth string-led track suitable for depicting some kind of crisis or impending doom - possibly useful for boss levels. It doesn't follow a strict harmonic structure and gets weird towards the end. It's supposed to be a little bit shambolic.

ECM Tune

This is a dark tune in the style of some of the ECM jazz trio music I've heard - ECM being one of the largest modern jazz and classical record labels around today.
