Matthew Stanley Maxi (born February 13, 1999) is a creative Swiss army knife and self proclaimed “romantic rapper” based in Geneva, Switzerland, Whether it’s rap, rock, pop, jazz, or dancehall, Matthew’s “messages” have always been to, for, or about women.
Being born to Haitian parents in New York City, moving to France as a child, and living in Geneva, Switzerland until graduating high school, Matthew’s tastes, like his world view were constantly expanding. After his (short-lived) college career back in New York, Matthew returned to Switzerland determined to pursue his musical adventure. Over the years he’s gone from making music in his bedroom and freestyling with friends to rapping on national radio and dazzling crowds of over 700 people. Let him tell it, he’s still just writing, recording, mixing and mastering.
