hi! i'm Ronan, and i aspire to compose music for indie games. i'm familiar with indie soundtracks that are synthesized from DAWs such as Ableton, Reason, or FL Studio, so i'm not that great with instruments (though in my experience piano can sound convincing in DAWs).

examples of DAW/synthetic music would be the games Celeste, Undertale, CD:DA, Project Zomboid, and Axiom Verge 1 & 2, not to mention the original Metal Gear games; these have in common music that can be created in a DAW without needing live instruments (instruments can also be sampled to make up for not knowing how to play any).
