Vampire Slumber Party is the alter-ego of south London-based musician Yusuf Laher. Yusuf grew up in Durban, South Africa. Where he worked as a music journalist and toured nationally with several local bands, including Lowprofile, Stanley Anvil and The Tubby Wilsons.
Since he moved back to London, where he was born, Yusuf's been in numerous bands, including Crash Island, Laserchrist and Paperjets - playing shows from Prague to Mallorca.
Recently, Yusuf found time to breathe new life into his undead 2012 solo project Vampire Slumber Party. Picking up where he left off, Funeral Pop is Vampire Slumber Party's debut full-length, and it's due out in September 2021. Three singles from the album, Now, Repeat After Me, Northern Lights and Glycerine are out now.
