Vinay Kaushal is a Composer and Guitar Player based in India. He is an alumnus of the Musician’s Institute, Hollywood (GIT). Vinay’s music boasts of a unique stylistic versatility with a repertoire that includes genres like the blues, funk, jazz, rock and fusion. Having always enjoyed composing, Vinay writes music with intricacies that are rarely stumbled upon.
His compositions are a daring mix of high energy orchestral sounds, groovy beats, incredible guitars, and impactful mellow melodies that give hints of his Indian roots. You can expect a diverse repertoire of moods and genres all tied down with his signature style.
Vinay's debut album 'Naked on a Train' released in Jan 2018 is an eclectic mix of jazz, Indian classical and Folk elements and a solid mix of various different instruments creating a true World Fusion. The album has received accolades from numerous Industry biggies as well as reviews, mentions and song picks for prestigious music publications/ journals such as 'All About Jazz' and 'The Score Magazine'.
He has composed, produced and mixed various other award winning albums and a wide range of music for content on Youtube, etc.
He has performed at various venues in Los Angeles including the prestigious Wiltern Theater. Blue Frogs, Hard Rock Cafes, Shisha Jazz Café and the National Centre for Performing Arts (NCPA) in Mumbai along with festivals like NH7 Weekender and Sula Fest have been some of his favourite performances in India so far.
