Brett James is a UK based composer, with recent projects including A Tale of Shadows, Slender – A New Darkness and Class Heroes.
Born in Norwich, England, Brett began his musical journey studying guitar with Tim Jefferson (BBC Midland Radio Orchestra, The John Barclay Collection). After being in various bands in his 20’s, he accepted a place at Essex University. Under the guidance of Jason Frederick (Film Composer), Jim Davies (Ex-Prodigy, Library Music Composer), Rachel James (Film Composer), Phil Toms (Composer/Orchestrator) and Mark Roberts (English Pops Orchestra) he specialised in Film Music and Soundtrack Production, achieving a first class degree.
Brett is a keen musician, and seeks involvement in a variety of different projects to expand his portfolio of work and build upon his knowledge base.
