I am a beginner in the VGM world, having written progressive/melodic metal for over 12 years and only in the last year taken to writing VGM. I am currently working on an indie game with a friend of mine as well as a programmer, and we hope to have a gameplay video completed in a few weeks. My style of writing would do well for sidescrollers, SNES era RPG's or other retro style games. I'm heavily influenced by Nobuo Uematsu and Yasanori Mistuda (Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy), Masato Nakamura (Sonic the Hedgehog), Michiru Yamane (Castlevania: Symphony of the Night) and Akira Yamaoka (Contra: Hard Corps), among many metal bands. I have a very strong focus on catchy melodies and write songs in a themed approach, trying to make a song sound like whatever the subject matter is as best as I can. I'm interested in taking on other projects, so please feel free to contact me regarding song writing/composition.
