Gryphondale Studios is the collaboration of husband and wife team Dale and AnnaBelle Crowley. Dale is a composer, sound designer, producer and audio engineer. AnnaBelle is a talented actress, voice over artist, and vocalist.
Dale is a veteran film and video game composer based in Northern California. As founder of Gryphondale Studios, he works diligently to deliver you the best available music at the best available prices. With decades of experience in film, video games, TV and commercials, let us make some extraordinary music and video for you.
Dale has developed video games and music for Disney, Sony, THQ, Electronic Arts, ESPN, FOX Sports and Mattel to name a few. His music education began at age 5, and by the time he was 14 he was playing Bach, Beethoven, Chopin, Rachmaninoff and Gershwin. In that same time he had his first B3, Rhodes Piano and Moog synthesizers and was the keyboardist in both rock and jazz bands. Dale has continued his music education throughout his life by taking courses at Berklee College of Music and Berkeley Jazz School. He has studied with Grammy Award winner Gary Burton, jazz pianist and author of the definitve book on jazz theory Mark Levine and has completed courses in music production and synthesis from Loudin Sterns and songwriting from Pat Pattison.
Prior to founding Gryphondale Studios, Dale worked in the video game industry, first for independent developer Mind Control Software, then for AOL Games and then for Psygnosis. He has more than 20 years experience in the video game industry, and has been both a panel and a keynote speaker at the Game Developer Conference and E3.
Dale has traveled the world gathering influences of music from China, India, and Europe. On those travels, he even lived as a Zen Buddhist Monk in China for several years. He has a degree in Physics from Purdue University, and was a pioneer in the mobile video game industry, where his company created some of the very first mobile video games. Dale's current musical project is "The Mystic Poets Society" which is made up of fabulous musicians from around the world who are all collaborating for charity. Last year Dale wrapped up The Upanishad Project. More than 30 fellow musicians from around the world came together to create a dozen songs and numerous remixes, also for charity.
AnnaBelle has been in the entertainment industry all of her working life. Discovered by Playboy at age 19 in Atlanta, and shortly thereafter moving to Los Angeles to pursue film, television, and commercials. She had the great fortune to sing, dance and act in over 50 productions. Besides singing, acting and dancing, she has voiced over 100 spots for radio, as well as, hosting a drive time radio segment giving relationship advice in a comedic format. She now brings all of her experience to Gryphondale Studios. Her amazing voice and vocals can be heard on songs, voice overs, and the voices of dozens of characters featured here on this website.
