Authors description:

I am the Monochrome Man - a 26 year old hobbiest with no formal music education - but one who doesn't mind experimenting. Or just punching buttons until things work. Always a good backup plan.
Generally focused on GM/GS (DirectX) based Midi with a modern bent.

Note that I don't have any experience with the Java ME platform and can't make any guarantees with regards to it, but will be conducting research now that I'm aware of it. More news on that as it happens. :)


Note that I'm happy to render out midi to mp3, but am working with the SC-55 soundbanks (the same as those used in the default DirectX softsynth), so it's unlikely to improve the sound quality.
